The scape is just starting to come up. The bulb seems to be large for a Ruby Meyer so I am not sure what it is.

Oh great...another mystery. MZ is always good for a mystery bulb! Does it look like a cybister bulb? Seems like we got lots of H. Rio Negro bulbs from them.

Last year it was Rio Negro. I was hoping that enough people complained that they found the real thing. I will know in a couple of weeks.

Well, I finally caved and ordered 2 just in case!!! Hopefully, it will at least be a cybister and hopefully not Rio Negro again but I took the chance. Do I feel lucky this time?? :-)

Well, I am thrilled that I ordered 2 and even if it turns out not to be Quito, it's not Rosado either if I'm not mistaken. Somewhere in between perhaps unless there is another that I've forgotten!!!!

Well, my two Quitos arrived today, just days after I placed my order. Both bulbs were in excellent condition with good roots and were expertly packaged!

Last year's Ruby Meyers yielded Rio Negros and they were in very good condition too. I wonder what surprises await us next year when we once again try for the seemingly unobtainable Ruby Meyers!

Well I had a big surprise when I opened my box...a huge cockroach came scurrying out. It wasn't as big as a Texas wood roach, but it was a "dirty" roach...creeped me out!! Grabbed a tissue and squashed it.
