Thank you for the pictures Donna! What a tremendous explosion of color, I love it!!!!

I so hope my Merengue will be true to name, and Rosario, of course. I have adored Merengue from the start, hoping to get it some day and hopefully that day is now in the making so to speak...

I feel I need to explain a bit... I was in the front line ordering from RC those limited specials we all were so drooling after, but then something happened and I had to cancel my order. Luckily they got a new batch of Merengue, Tango and Rosario. I also ordered Showmaster, which in my opinion is one of Marko Penning's greatest achievements.

Good luck Donna with your pollination plans!! Papilio x aulicum sounds perfect. Actually, Merengue has a bit of aulicum appearance doesn't it?

Donna, your Merengue is perfection. I love it. I hope mine is like that! Of course, I love the Rosado as well but the Merengue is something special.

Love Merengue!!! That orange coloring is so, so....I want one !!!! :) Putting it on my list for next year if it is available.

I'm with you on Rosario, the color is nice but it does look like its having a bad hair day lol Maybe the flowers on the next scape or the next flowering will show its true potential. - J

Remember the year all of our Sweet Nymphs looked awful (2011?)? The next year they were gorgeous.

Our Rosarios look identical!! All of my flowers had that balloon shape when opening but wouldn't open all the way, they were stuck so I had to help them along!

I am in love with Merengue!! The flowers are so symmetrical, like a perfect Chico!!

My Merengue looked identical to yours, and two scapes were blooming at the same time, unfortunate my camera broke and couldn't take any pictures, and there is a third scape coming along, I'm so excited!!!
Rosario is blooming right now, and I also had to help her open her flowers all the way.
I'm so glad I got them both.
