Desert Rose

I have had my first Desert Rose for a little over a year. It got through last winter just fine but this winter has been extra wet and cold. it is an outdoor plant and the leaves are turning brown at the tips to about half way down the leaf. The top leaves seem to be the ones affected the under branches the leaves are still fine. I don't want to loose this plant and wonder if there is anything I should do or should I just leave it alone? Also when the weather warms up can I trim off the brown leaves? Thank you for any help here in South Texas.
