Tim I hate to tell you this but you have a long wait. Get a fluorescent light and plant something indoors. If you are already looking for spring I'm afraid you won't make it.

LOL i know....but it's usually the little things that make me happy.

However, it really w won't be all that long till the witch hazel blooms, and the hellebores start sending up buds......and then it accelerates from there...just a month or so until i start getting out on warm days and doing little clean up and weeding jobs.

Gotta make it through the winter one way or another, I will take what I can get :)

Well I need to get out and see how my daffodils are doing. I moved some very pretty ones from my late Aunt's yard that I'm hoping will return.
I've had a few seed and plant catalogs arriving. That helps me get through the winter.

I have a group of Erlicheer daffs that usually get severely nipped by popping up too early. I haven't even checked them yet.

I am just trying to get the plant light stand unloaded by March l so I can start some lavender seeds.

My enthusiasm isn't quite as high as yours mocountryboys.

I start getting things blooming in mid-feb, like witch hazel and hellebores (if I'm lucky). Then, around t he f irst wk of m arch, more shrubs and bulbs start, and then it just accelerates from there.

This past year, I tried to plant a few t hings with very early bloom times, but for the life of me I can't remember what all I planted. I guess it will be like surprise gifts, seeing w h hat comes up and figuring out what it is.

I have also done quite a few projects after frost, so I really want tosee what things look like with growing plants. This motivated me to take some pics, which i will post i in a separate thread.

My hellebores have buds...and I'm certain if I went down into the river valleys, the witch hazel would be blooming!
However, I think spring may be late this year...just a feeling.
