I lost mine in Houston's mild winter. Also know someone that has a big pudica tree also in Houston. Regardless, some rattiness is to be expected. If ur plant is young, may be wise to protect in winter and avoid watering to prevent rot.

Thanks, bossyvossy. I'm sorry to hear that you lost yours. I was expecting it to behave like an evergreen and did not know they were sensitive. The plant looks like a lollipop right now. I will move it closer to the house, under the eaves for extra protection and hope for the best.
