help..summer coming too fast

This is a strange problem. This winter has been so darned warm that the ground is not frozen. We have had temps in the 50s for weeks and now the 60s.

The lilacs have huge buds..getting bigger every day. The oriental lilys are popping up. The blanket flowers are showing green and so are both the mums and the hollyhocks. Even the roses are showing big red buds on the canes..getting bigger every day. The iris are leaping out of the ground..but, I am not so worried about them..they are tough plant. The columbine is up with big green leaves already.

Eeeek. I just know that there is going to be some winter coming in February. How do I stop this? the weather forecast has the temps to remain this high for at least the next 10 days. BUT..you just know the deep freeze is coming.

I am worried that my entire garden is going to be killed when winter returns next month.

help.
