Whoops, after a trip to the lumber yard, my grow box has become a 2 door grow cabinet.

Bought the lumber and had it cut into the main length pieces, but the actual build will take a bit.

In the mean time, I used my favorite 3D program to whip up a CAD design so I could work out the kinks.

I wonder why you need a box ?
Are you going to keep it outside ?
If you wanted to grow in your house, which is heated, then a simple shop light arrangement would work. I start pepper in mid January and keep them inside til mid April ( 3 months), then I move them outside for hardening off and planting in pots.

Oh yeah, didn't realize the grow box was for just one plant - you should have more than enough light with the LED + CFLs.

I'm also curious why you would need a grow box for a pepper plant. I would suggest if you are bored to make a germination box instead.

Because its winter and I'm bored. I need a project to keep busy.

And frankly, this is a lot more fun than just clamping a shoplight to the bottom of a shelf.

Just gotta line it with mylar, and get the airflow fans put in place (which I'm waiting for a wall adapter to come in to splice them into for that).

Thanks. Here's hoping it actually helps. I never have good luck starting early indoors, but with a little luck this should change that.
