What about the bowls that sit on top of your counter top? You know, the ones that literally look like a bowl sitting on top of the counter?

They come in SO many different colors (and shapes!) now that you're sure to find one you like.

Here is a link that might be useful: {{gwi:2132713}}

Good point, forgot to mention - wife hates those :(

Not sure if it's the bowl-style vessel you dislike, or the entire family of "on top of countertop" sinks. But there are lower-profile "vessel sinks".

There are single bowl, two faucet "trough sinks" like this:

Wide enough for two but with a single drain in the center. That type of sink might be your best bet for preserving the side drawers.

Or two single bowls, sort of like this:

There are other styles like that with a lower vertical profile.

With two individual sinks, depending on how you place the sinks on top of the vanity, you might be able to get the two tailpieces to sit in the center third of your vanity, completely preserving the storage and functionality of the two side drawers.

If the tailpieces did project into the side drawers, you could fabricate the two top drawers with a "U"-shaped or "L" shaped cutout for the tailpiece, depending on the amount of tailpiece-versus-drawer interference. That'd preserve some of the storage and function of the side drawers.

Any sort of a standard drop-in or undermount sink? In general, you'll lose functionality and storage space, even with fabricated cutouts for the drawers below.

Thanks, those are two good options. Wife really wants a seamless top, like it would be with undermount sinks, due to ease of cleaning. The first double sink is pretty much what we're looking for, but was hoping to find something that also has a built-in top on each side.
