It ought to be safe enough, barring unforeseen issues like rotten subfloors. Have it moved by a professional team, bonded and insured. If anything will prevent a safe move they will refuse to take the job.

Well, I have learned that the Windsor trailer is a 1980 something model. But my BFF is renting it out still anyways. I will need to talk to my BFF, about buying the Windsor or about her loaning me money to buy a newer MH. I really don't want to borrow from a friend, but, I just may ask her.

I guess I'll just have to stay where I am. I am in a site built home, I just want to change my living arrangements. I am in a great living situation financially, but, emotionally, I want to live away from my family. And eventually I will not be able to negotiate stairs well. So that is why I mentioned about MH purchase and living.

I just had my 10' wide x 50' long 1959 Pacemaker double-decker mobile home towed from its original site in NE to Kansas for restoration and my hauler obtained the necessary permits from the city prior. It was a 275-mile trip and "Sweet Sixteen" sailed through it like a breeze, although she did sustain a few ouchies along the way. Just be sure your hauler has DOT licensing to tow wide loads, and good luck!
