After almost 2 years of staring a paint swatches, we've finally chosen a color for our great room, BM Clay Beige. We've always painted ourselves in the past, so these paint estimates are an eye-opener! It's going to cost around 2K and I'm so afraid of making a mistake. The painter we like the most very much prefers SW paint. I'm wondering what others experiences with color matching are? I have a pint of the Clay Beige that I've painted in several areas to make sure its the one. But I still dont really know what the paint will look like when the whole room is painted, as I've read that even these tester pints might be a bit different, and I know the whole room effect will change it also. So not knowing exactly what the Clay Beige will look like, is it safe to have it color matched in SW paint? Will it look the same?
