We are a few years from a remodel/refit of our entire home, but wanted to know that if we paid for their time, are designers open to hearing our ideas and desires so that we could get a ballpark figure on what the overall costs will be? My wife and I are prolific savers and want to make sure we save enough for inflation purposes, overruns and other contingencies. In short, when the time comes we do not want money to be an overriding factor. We just want to get a target to shoot for. Not looking for an estimate, just a general money figure. All responses are appreciated.
