I too have been looking for the Crimson Delight (see my post below of January 28th) without success. The seed is no longer available commercially, so for now it looks like we are stuck, continuing to look for someone who might have some seed tucked away in a drawer.

I did contacted Remy of Sample Seeds. She thinks she may have some old seed, but doesn't know if it's still viable. She did offer to include it in her grow list for this year. So...if Remy has some seed, and if the seed will germinate, we just might have some Crimson Delight seed available commercially through Sample Seed, next year. Remy did suggest we offer a prayer up to the tomato gods...

Starlight from T-ville is also interested in the heirloom, and is also on the lookout. Hopefully between us all we'll keep this heirloom from disappearing completely.

That is funny Erica!!! Hey, I guess the more folks we can get talking about it the better the chance someone will see it and say... "Hey! I just might have some of those seeds tucked away somewhere!"

I originally received the seed from one of the regulars on one of the forums (lovetogarden on IDigMyGarden) who seems to have disappeared from the forums.

lovetogarded described the tomato as such:
Crimson Delight. This tomato was grown by one Missouri farm family in the Civil War. In the 1970's, this tomato, was passed on to an Illinois corn grower who then took over growing this variety exclusively. It grows up to a pound and the tomato itself is ugly(a friend of my won an ugly tomato contest with it), but it tastes very good.

You know, I'm not sure why I'm so obsessed with finding it. It doesn't sound like a tomato worthy of such a valiant search, does it!!!? !!!laugh!!!
