It appears to be an oncidium of some kind. A pot with slits on the side is much better. I do not like the potting medium. I would drown the plant. I water a lot. Water every day get lava rock. If you water 2 or 3 times a week add bark and charcoal. Water once a week get plastic pots. Keep it above 50 degrees. Morning sun afternoon bright shade.

I think its a Miltassia of some sort, look up Miltassia Aztec 'toni'.

I would leave out the peat moss and mix the bark with sphag moss.

I like your mix but not the peat moss. Wrong media.

I like small bark with a little sphag or perlite mixed in. Clay pot is fine.

Where are you in Florida? It matters as the State has a wide range of temps.

I live in central Florida towards the coast. Melbourne specifically. Thank you for the identification and advice, I took out the peat moss.

Ditto the potting suggestions. My oncidiums like to be watered a minimum of twice a week.
