Ah, I thought that might be the case, but I was hoping not. At least I know where to get another one if I feel like trying again.

Your plant has died; if you have you just recently bought it take it back and try for a replacement. Any reputable seller should do this with no argument. If you're thinking of getting another from the same supplier, be careful as it may have early stages of rot that aren't visible, especially if they were divisions from the same original plant.
