Genetics of Phaseolus lunatus

I really enjoy some of the beautifully colored pole lima beans. However, I prefer the bush growth habit. Most, with a few notable exceptions, of the readily available bush varieties are plain white/green in color. Is there a reason for that other than the fact that bush habit and green color are what sells?

I would assume that the vining habit is probably dominant? Would the colored varieties probably be dominant over white?

Thanks,
Tom
