My fruitless Mulberry ð"

Hi everyone. I am brand new to this forum and gardening. I bought this mulberry tree last year. It was about a foot tall and had plenty of little fruits all over it. My kids plucked them all off and ate them and it would grow more. It was a branch off of a bigger tree, not sure what that's called. The lady I bought it from told me how to plant and told me it would thrive and produce bountiful amounts of mulberries because of our area. I was ecstatic! I have 6 kids and I love the thought of having a mulberry tree that they can go into the back yard and have a nice healthy snack whenever they want. So I planted it outside. It seemed to go through shock for the first few months. Then it started growing, and growing and now it is well over 5 feet tall. But it looks kind of puny to me. Skinny branches whip out and there has been no more fruit at all. Not even flowers. Please help me determine what the problem could be. I can get more pictures if needed. Thank you so much!
