Huge ripoff scam.

The plans have been pirated or flat out stolen from the legal owners.

Many of the plans are unreadable or incomplete.

Crazy thing is if you Google woodworking plans this shows up all over the place.

Can anyone recommend plans for beginners?

Go to any established woodworking website. Those run by woodworking magazines or legal DIY sites. Use Google or another search engine and use Woodworking project plans or similar terms. Then look at the owner of the site. Publishing companies or TV program companies usually have legal(copyrighted) plans, some free and some require purchasing.

Google works by ranking hits. Has nothing to do with legality or honesty. The shills that work with/for Teds only have to click on their sites several times daily to keep them high on Googles list.

I rarely use plans without modification or doing my own. But I look at these links for ideas and general thoughts.
