    hi, sorry it took so long, i was out of the country.
    this floor is called "terrazo" it is poured direclty to the slab. Inthe case of this house, the floor was existing. we discovered it hidden under wood parket when we started the remodeling. we only had to restore it and polishe!! this is typical in houses built in the 50,s and 60,s.
