I posted above on how you can get your posting name back. Give this new format some time - it really has a lot of neat options. Much easier to post pictures. You can sort your board in various order and can choose some viewing options. For example, I am sorting the board topics by most recent activity and have clicked on the middle icon to choose to be able to see the first sentence of the response on each topic. You'll get used to it, And I like to be able to put up an avatar next to my name (mine is a picture of Boots) :)

I followed your instructions, and hopefully my GW Holidays name will now be showing up again so my friends know who is posting here. I don't have a choice but to try and get use to all the changes, unless I stop being a member which isn't an option. I never found it hard to post photos before on GW, and was extremely happy with our old Holidays. I've been a member of Houzz for some time and have no issue with the site, I just wish things hadn't changed HERE. Thank you for your response to my venting.

I am having a problem posting pictures. I have an eyefi card in my camera and Holidays converted the info from it to pictures Face book included the code and added a thumbnail you could click on to enlarge the picture not having any luck with this new setup

Posting pictures here is a lot like posting on Facebook. Click on the camera icon at the bottom of your post. It opens up and asks you to Browse to find your picture. Find the pic you want to post and click Open. It opens the file from your computer and uploads it to your post.

What middle icon? Where for Heaven's sake? I know this will get easier, but a little warning might have helped us all. Glad you are here, Tally.

Also, can I get rid of Related Discussions that are in another Forum Topic other than Holidays? I don't want them. Only the list from Holidays.

OK when you go to the Holiday Forum main page, where you see all the topics listed...You will see a box where you can start a new topic (give the topic a title and beneath that you can post your comment. Underneath the new topic box you will see:

6,477 Discussions | Holidays Latest Activity --------------------------> 3 Icon Boxes

The 3 boxes over to the right give you viewing options. Click on the middle box and you will see the difference: the first sentence of the last post appears under each topic. If you highlight the sentence it becomes a link to the last post in the thread. Also, if the original poster posts a photo in their topic, it appears on the left hand side of the topic (looks pretty and colorful - you can see down at the bottom some of the older posts have lovely pictures next to them). You have to select the middle viewing icon to be able to see them.

If you click on the far right icon you will see all the responses on each topic.

A couple of other tips

Once you open a thread, if you click on the comments under the OP, it will scroll you down to the bottom of the thread.

To post a photo, click on the photo camera icon at the bottom of your comment box, click on browse and file the file name on your computer. Highlight the file name, click open and the photo uploads to you comment.

You can't preview your post first, but to edit it once you have submitted it, look for the little pencil icon on the upper right corner of your post.

Add the Holiday Forum main page to your Favorites in your Browser to find it quickly.

One more note: On the right hand sidebar you will see a link to All Discussions. That's kind of fun. You can see posts coming up from every forum. Sometimes you may find a post leads you to a forum you've never been to before!

Thanks for taking the time to help us all through this. I think you can already see the advantages of this new format, but we're just going to have to give it a bit more time. Change can be hard.
