Before you order...

I have been propagating a lot of roses this past year, mostly common ogrs. I'll be happy to share as many as you want--e-mail me for a list. I don't need a 'swap'--will be very happy to find them a good home for postage.

Have lots of Champney's Pink Cluster, a wonderful Spray Cecile Brunner, so vigorous I've used it for rootstock,

Caldwell Pink

Little White Pet

Mme. Laurette Messime

Clotilde Soupert

Old Blush

Mme. Antoine Mari

Ragged Robin aka Glorie des Rosomanes

Fortuniana

lots of others--let me send you some :)

Hello blue girl, that was so very nice of you to offer the roses. Do you think you could send me Caldwell pink, little white pet and old bush. I am in zone 5, I will pay the postage, could you please email me.

Thank you so much , Madri

    I'm pulling & packing roses. I have:

    Peninusula Petals

    Kippy

    Jasminerose4u

    elisse 59

    Glozell / orgose tx

But the board says I've reached my e-mail limit & won't let me message anymore--arrggg!

Okay, I'm sorry for the confusion. If you would like to e-mail me direct, which is easier for me to use & keep track of, please use this (first letters only, plus the numbers, in this order):

    Victory

    4

    Rose

    Petals

    11

It's a Gmail address--you know what to do. Sorry for the confusion. I appreciate the responses but am having trouble with this system.

Hi bluegirl, I sent you an email to your gmail account. It says Rose Cutting for gardenweb in the subject box. Hopefully it goes through and doesn't go into the spam folder lol.

Okay, these packages just went out:

    Elisse59

    Ogrtx/ Glozelle

    Kippy

    Peninsulapetals

Jasminerose4u: I've pulled LWP for you--is that ALLL you want? ;) I have your addy.

Buehaven: I did find another climbing Pinkie, if you want it & Caldwell Pink & Penelope, please e-mail direct with your addy.

Jopyeweed: I've pulled an Old Blush & Little White Pet. Please e-mail your addy direct.

Shops: I've pulled LWP & Mme. Laurette Messime. Please email your addy direct.

Sultryjasmienights: I got your e-mail. I'm gonna run outside now & see if I have your requests. Please e-mail blahblah...

I have tracking #s for you all & wish to respond to the many kind offers & comments you've e-mailed through the forum, but I can't message from the board anymore, even when I dump old messages. I keep getting an error message.

Sorry to be so dumb, but if you've requested plants, please e-mail me directly so I can give you my correct name (for postage payments), respond to your comments, & e-mail you tracking numbers. Thank you for your responses--so glad to find homes for these rose babies.

    (Kippy, I have your email)

Already sent you a email, m'am. It mentions roses in the title. I'm kind of giddy right now. lol

Sent you an e-mail Bluegirl. At least I hope I did! or some stranger will be very confused! :)

I sent you an email hoping it went through. I haven't had a bounce back so it went somewhere. I am hoping for any cuttings you have. I have one bed just about ready and many pots of minis that need a new friend. The only thing I don't have space for is climbers.

Okay, you have boxes in the mail:

    Jasminerose4u

    JoeMoose

    Jopyeweed

& 2 other folks--I don't have your usernames cross-indexed with your real names, so I e-mailed you privately with your tracking numbers.

Bluehaven--yours is mailed, I don't have your private e-mail, I'll TRY to message through the board your tracking #, but having trouble.

Beth, got your e-mail, & several more. I'll be pulling plants & will e-mail you PRIVATELY re. addresses, availability, etc.

Shops--I pulled your plants but don't have an addy. If you still want them, please shoot me an e-mail DIRECTLY at above address (again, having problems with the messaging on this board)

Monday's a holiday, so I'll wait to ship further requests until Tues.

Thanks to you all for all the kind words. Let me know how your plants look when they come. Trying to be careful packing & to keep costs down by using the smallest boxes, but a bit of squeezing is sometimes required.

Bluegirl, I'm sure everyone appreciates your generosity and desire to find good homes for your rose babies. I think it would be fun for us all to post photos once the plants are established and blooming (understanding that will be quite a while from now).

I think posting photos would be really fun once they are blooming! Thank you so much Bluegirl for all the hard work you've done to help everyone out and enable our rose collections! I hope I can pay it forward with roses one day once I get a bunch going.

I am really excited to see everyone else's photos too :)

Thank you! It's been fun. Overwhelming, but fun. It's weird--a few months back I posted most of the same roses as available on "Exchanges" & only sent out ~ a dozen.

This time--oh, my goodness--I've had to keep a notebook to keep up. And had many kind words & offers of wonderful plants.

Perhaps it's the time of year, perhaps because it was posted on the main board... I don't know, but I hope everyone is pleased. Some cuttings were twiggy little things, others were older & had wonderful roots--you all know how own-root roses are.

I know I've enjoyed receiving boxes stuffed with baby plants before--it's exciting & very nice to get 5-6 plants for the price of a medium or large Priority box shipping. Plus it's very neat to have a yard full of shared plants--makes me think of my kind friends every time I look at them.

Thanks again--I've done a partial re-inventory & will continue to send stuff Tuesday.

It's going to be like Christmas in February! I can't wait to receive your lovingly grown gifts to us.

Like Beth said, it's like Christmas in February. :D

Hi Bluegirl, I got Moores pink poodle from you this past fall. She is still doing great and making it through this rough winter outside. Can't wait to see her blooming this summer, thanks.

Christmas in February, indeed! I received the beautiful cuttings with huge root systems in great shape today. Thank you, Bluegirl, your generosity and kindness in doing this is so appreciated. Pictures will be coming!

Vaflowernut: Great! don't ya need some more, hahah? Your plants are doing great, too. I swear, the prettiest bulbs, perennials & roses in the yard came from gw swappers. This caliche hill is being transformed into a huge row of blooms & foliage--thanks!

Ogrose: Wow! that was fast! so glad they look good. Thank you & I hope they thrive.

I'm running down the excess inventory nicely, thanks to you all. There have been a lot of requests for Mme. Antoine Mari, Little White Pet, Rosette Ducher, et. al., which I'm out of. But these--in fact, most of those listed--have been easy rooters. If anyone missed something you wanted, I'll probably have it later this year. Thanks again!

bluegirl, I received the roses yesterday and I really want to thank you for your generosity & also time. You must have put in a lot of effort to pack & label & ship all these wonderful plants. Thank you.

what do you have left bluegirl?

Thank you!!! Dispite the postal service they arrived yesterday

So glad to hear it--thank you for letting me know!
    Alana, I'll e-mail ya.

Mine came yesterday as well. Thank you sooooo much <3. Wow they really look great!! I will get your shipping out to you first thing tomorrow morning :)

My little rose babies came in Friday. Big and healthy rooted cuttings. They are all potted up now and looking happy. You are a sweetheart Bluegirl_gw! Thanks again!

My roses arrived on Valentine's Day. How sweet is that? Thank you, Bluegirl. BTW, kudos to USPS. I think they are a very reliable and reasonable mail carrier. I checked the tracking and enjoyed seeing the rose make its way from Texas to my home in California in just two days. I was gone for the weekend, but was able to tell when the package arrived and called my neighbor. He kindly potted the rose and it was the first thing I looked for when I arrived home. Such a nice gift :)

Sounds good! thank you all for letting me know. Post office is doing pretty well--I only know of one package that missed getting delivered.
Jasminerose4u: You have a GREAT neighbor! Bet you're a good neighbor, too.
I'll plan on another bunch going out Tues. If anyone's having horrid weather, I can tag & hold your roses.

Oh my goodness, my package arrived today. I was so excited opening it. Each little package of damp newspaper I unrolled was like finding the prize in the Cracker Jack box. I had some 6" pots ready for them and they needed gallon pots! Thank you so much for sharing the prize with me. All are planted and in the shade and soaking up some water. Thank you again for sharing your wealth.

Oh gosh! I hope I am not too late! I recently moved a good ways to a beautiful but bare little farm and had to leave my beloved roses behind. If I am not too late, may I please also be included in this? It has been a while since I have been on GW and this new format is somewhat challenging at the very moment, so I am not sure if you can see my email address. It is debbiesgarden at yahoo dot com. Thank you so very much!!!

    You're probably overwhelmed with requests.

I'm interested in fortuniana if you have any left. Cuttings that aren't rooted would be fine too. I'm not able to email you so my email is mklkhoo at gmail dot com

    Hi,

Thanks for this I lost my old garden roses to a gardener that pulled them up as weeds. Hadn't been able to replace them since.

I would like to send you a message so could you follow and I'll send it right away. Thanks

Have no idea why my pics turn side ways even though I dont take them tat way!

Any who, here are my potted up cuttings from bluegirl_gw.

    Cl. Pink cloud rose

    Dbl. lady yellow banks

    Spray Cecile Brunner

    Clotilde soupert

    Chapneys pink clusters (not shown)

I'm very new to roses and I'm happy to expand my selection at a reasonable cost! So thank you so much and will definitely be posting updates on how they do this season.

    Elce

    Beth: Cracker Jacks prizes, LOL!
Massidea: I *think* I have some rooted. I certainly have cuttings. Please e-mail your addy.
Wild Haired Mavens: You can e-mail me. I need to check what's left.
Elce: Glad you like them--my pleasure.

The P.O. has done well overall, but I have one package that's been delayed TEN DAYS, arrggg! I can't get any info WHY, but it may be weather-related, according to our local person.

Anyway, if you're having horrid weather, I can tag & hold plants. The best way to contact me is through my private e-mail posted earlier in the thread.

Thanks so much. Bluegirl. I received my roses on Saturday. They were so nicely packed! I will send payment later this week after the ice melts. You are so kind! :-) :-)

I've got my old garden roses and they are loving it here. They are so healthy and vigorous. Thank you, the roses you picked are wonderful

HI Blue Girl, I just started growing roses and was wondering if you have any more cuttings. I am looking for Cecile Brunner or something else that is pretty cold hardy. Thank you for being so generous.

Hi bluegirl, I'm in sunny California. If you still have rooted rose cuttings I'd love to request some from you. Please message me, thanks :)

Hi Bluegirl, if you have any cuttings left. I'm trying to find a vigorous plant variety for climbing a 6 foot 6 high chain link fence. I can't message and you I dont know why. Please message :) If even with a suggestion. Thank you:)

    Hello Bluegirl!

I was hoping that I wasn't too late to get a rooted clipping from you. I am going to try and email you to your private gmail address. will you please let me know if I did this correctly. Thanks so much for your generosity!

bluegirl, 3 of your babies have buds on them already! I will start a new thread for baby pics (if someone else doesn't start one first) once they start blooming since this one is getting so long lol. They are so cute!

    Thanks blue girl, I followed and sent a message =}

bluegirl, here is Caldwell pink from you blooming in my yard. Thank you.

Wow bluehaven, your baby rose has grown so much and lush in two months! Can you please share how you did it?

I Planted it in a pot which already had another rose thinking that it won't grow much this season. And the other rose was fertilized in February for the season. Probably the fertilizer made a difference. I do have to move it to another location as it is putting out lot of new growth.

    La Reine

I thought I would go ahead and post some of my babies from bluegirl here since others are :) They seem really happy here. I just potted up pink clouds and cecil brunner spray (not pictured) into 3 gallon pots. They all have such awesome root systems and outgrew the bands that I mail ordered from nurseries. I think bluegirl should start her own nursery!
