Made it!!

I'm here. Going to take getting used to this new format. I did a whole "I'm back" post yesterday and it didn't get posted. I decided it was such a nice day in Houston that I wasn't going to get frustrated with it and did other things instead.

Made it. Not sure if I like it or not yet. i do like that I can change the display format. Have set it so I can see thumbnail pics beside the post, helps me find certain posts again instead of just going by title.

Hi, I am log out don't know why? tried many times and to no avail. Therefore, I am compelled to registered a new entry 3300Koi instead of Koi3300.

I haven't decided whether I like it at all either. So far, attempting to post has crashed Firefox twice now, while I was testing whether I can insert multiple photos in one post.

So far so good. This is the slow time of the year for this forum so a lot of us who do not lurk in other GW forums probably won't discover that <i>Houzz</i> has eaten it all up until spring. I'm still randomly testing html codes.

No "Preview Message" in this thing though. But you can apparently delete your message anyway, as well as edit it. (Try saying this to yourself repeatedly, aloud "Ed edited it")

Hey guys, I see I've gained a 'like'! Woo-hoo. The next thing I hope to achieve is to gather some 'followers'!.....and the point of all this is??????????????? Found out how to disable the emails etc, go to Your Houzz, click on Edit Profile on dropdown menu, then on left hand side of that page is Advanced Settings, click that and you can alter the email alerts.

Hmm..I only just saw that, Gill. I have to say I don't like that either--the notion that the direction of our opposable thumbs should even figure in any conversation at all, especially not after all the years I have spent trying not to be twelve.

You must click "filter messages like this" in your email as soon as possible and have them be deleted forthwith. They build up like barnacles, only suffocatingly faster.

I have a feeling it's only a matter of time before I can no longer log-in here without a Facebook account (which I do not and will never have, even in their wildest, most pathetic dreams) or a Google account (which I do not like linking to anything else, not even itself).

GW must have been bleeding for revenues.

OMG this is just rotten. Just opened the forum to check the latest beauties and news and found this stark white strange thing instead. Oh well. I'm not against change in general but wow. It's going to take a lot of getting used to that's for sure.

As much as I do agree with what everyone is stating to be true and of concern. If we can give any advice or direction to making this a place we feel safe or comfortable to those that frequent. Then this will keep

our Adenium group thriving.

I do not care for the change, but it is a place that I have gained a lot of knowledge and good friendship. For this it is worth making the effort.

If we work together, I am sure we can keep it honest.

I have initiated much of what Gill and Pagan to date have given.

Yeah, the immense white is a bit disconcerting but I prefer that over the usual clutter of adverts. I also really like the ability to post multiple pictures. That alone is worth the trouble of moving, even if this new digs does not accept html in the message field. Hmp.

It's a howling -14C outside right now. Out of nostalgia for warmth, I'm sharing a picture my sister sent me this morning, one of her many adeniums that are in bloom right now. I don't ordinarily like pink but this one is kind of grand, isn't it.

It is that, Pagan. Nice and cheery, especially for the time of year.

I can say right now, that I do not mind Pink in Adeniums. At present I only have a couple. Seedlings may suprise me with more?

Yikes, what a change. I hope I can get used to the change in format. I will miss reading everyone's posts if not. I am always for change and I'm hoping it will just take me a little while to get used to the change in format. I'm glad all of you have checked in. I am hoping spring will soon appear so that I can see some of my adeniums in full bloom.

hehe i guess we are all survivors of the uprising. the blank spaces do not bother me as much as the word "houzz", for some reason. Like "luv", "catz" and "noone".
