Quartz backsplash or tile for a contemporary bathroom?

Hi, I am having the vanity top replaced in the main bathroom with ceasarstone (blizzard) and need to decide on a 'built in' backsplash or glass or mosaic tiles. Are built in back splashes dated? Can I go with something a little higher than the standard? Interested in all opinions. My vanity is wall hung veneer, espresso colour. Thanks!

Leave the built-in backsplash off and use just the tile for the cleaner, more modern look.

what kind of mirror do you have and how is being integrated into the area?

are the faucets mounted on the wall, on the counter, or on the sink?

The faucets are on the counter and the mirror will be very simple and run the width of the cabinet, which is 48 inches. I am thinking some sparkly glass tiles will look nice and more streamlined than an integrated backsplash as suggested. The installer was here measuring and he recommended the same as well, so I am good to go! Thanks!
