Why do "they" always feel the need to reinvent the wheel?

Not many like it. Too many lost features like pix from PhotoBucket being imbedded, searching by forum and more. As to the why, a Houzz rep gave an explanation at the link.

It's been stuffed up big time and what's more how do I stop getting these bloody emails every time someone comments?

At last I've stopped the continuous flow of emails, but where have all the wonderful archive files gone? Can we still access them?

I go away for a couple of months and come back to this setup? It's Frickin horrible. Why change it?

Its messing with my phone too. I can't even get onto the broms without using my laptop.

oh boy, this makes me very sad. I haven't been a member long but so many of you have been a part of this community for a really long time... if you cool kids be hanging anywhere else, lemme know. :(

Sunshine - There's already a lot of the members from the original Garden Web Forums on that site you've posted a link to and quite a few of us look at both sites, but it looks like the new people are trying to chase everyone away from here and over to there.

Anyway, it's not the sites as much as the great people you meet on them and I know I've learned heaps from more experienced growers on these forums when they share information with us.

yah, the fact that you can't just browse thru old threads - that sucks.

but! you can still search old posts: just go to search box on top: and it'll ask you if you want to search just this one forum. so, you can put a member name and you'll pull old posts, for example.
