Are you able to get another pic and show a leaf face on, and hopefully a bloom? No matter what variety it is, it looks to be happy!

It's beautiful. Here's a link to the gesneriad reference web page that includes Episcia- if you scroll to the bottom, there are thumbnails of many of them. A great number have this lovely silver variegation. The difficulty with identification with Episcia is that culture can easily change the color configuration- light exposure, nutrients and soil composition will do this. It's nearly impossible to get a completely confirmed ID. You're obviously doing stuff right, and I'm sure you'll get more blossoms soon. In the meantime, you have some really nice foliage. Oh, and if you're using a fertilizer, one formulated for African Violets will cover well.

Oh, and the favorite of those I've grown was 'Pink Acajou.' This looks a bit like its parent, 'Acajou.'
With Episcia, I aim for foliage. I see the blooms as a nice surprise bonus.

perlite - yes me too! I like the foliage a whole lot better than blooms... although they are attractive too. This one blooms bright orangey red. :-)
