Island dimensions

Would like to know how wide the island is and is 12 inches enough legroom for the overhang. Great idea. Would like to do something similar in a tight space.

    Hi. The total depth of the island is 32 inches. I just re-measured and the over hang is actually just 10 inches and is comfortable. I think 12 inches would definitely be sufficient for a person of average height.
