Last May I planted a little 3 foot witch hazel from cold stream farms, bareroot. It grew ok and set flower buds in the fall, and it's blooming now. They said it was H. virginiana which they said blooms in the fall. Do you think the Feb blooming is just related to being a new planting, and it will bloom in the fall in the future? it seems more likely it will continue to bloom in the late winter I guess. No scent to the blossoms, they are yellow and not very big.

Unfortunately my phone is old and I can't enter text or add photos from the phone with the new Houzz site I had no problem with the old site.
