The most restful secure sleep is attained when the foot of the bed is approached upon entering the room. That would mean in the top arrangement, the bed should be on the end wall with the windows left of you as you lie in bed. In the bottom layout, the bed should go between the two windows.

I agree. I think I like the top layout the best. It was designed so the bed can face the large windows but I think it would look better facing the sitting area on the left wall. I just want to make sure it's not too long of a room.

I think you'll be OK with either one.

Agree with the top option for maximum exposure to the view while providing some separation from the ensuite.
