Question about Bearded Irises

I planted two Jurassic Park bearded irises two years ago and they definitely need dividing. I've been told that bearded irises have rhizomes like the canna lilies. I planted two canna lilies one year and ended up with a gazillion bulbs. I will probably end up with about 12-15 irises this when I divide them. If I plant all 15, will I end up with a gazillion irises this fall?

Not this fall - they don't increase that fast - but in two years you will have dozens. As well as a beautiful mass display when they bloom. Bearded irises generally need digging and dividing every 3-4 years.
