Hello guys and gals!

I have a little situation on my hands. My JJ Orange bloomed for the first time for me late last summer. I had been anxiously awaiting it's blooms for a few years, and I have to say, it was well worth the wait! I love the thick branches, and the inflos have been some of the largest I have seen on my trees!

I have always been a firm believer in letting Mother Nature run its course. After all the buds had opened, I fed it again, and it produced another round of buds. After that, all the little stems that the buds grew out of dropped. At that point I assumed the inflo would abort and drop but instead it thickened up more, and now I have 2 decent sized tips growing and 3 smaller tips that I assume will just remain dormant.

I remember in a previous post that Bill S. had said that tips that form off of inflos usually are weaker. Remembering that, I am trying to decide if I should allow these new tips to grow, or if I should remove the entire inflo before too much more energy goes into it.

I would love to hear other growers opinions on this, especially growers who have experience with JJ Orange.

I also am happy to report that in a few more days I will have more blooms on a new tip! It took about three years for this tree to bloom again, but it has been well worth the wait! When I ordered this tree from JJ's it got lost in the mail, and the blooming inflo dropped. Looks like my tree is now trying to make up for it!
