I'm equally frustrated, but not about to let this change part me from the awesome people and info on GW. Please consider giving the new look a try? The rumor is that this change saved GW from shutting down. I think the folks who have taken over are doing what they can to service the unique needs of garden forum'sters.

I was sorry to have to make a new account too, since I had been a member for so many years, but except that the lovely original pictures are gone, its all the same...same warm, generous, knowledgeable folks...don't leave us! It would have really been a shame if Gardenweb had ended forever.

I too am frustrated trying to use this site but will try and learn to use it. I can't use my old account either. I get a message that I can't use the gardenweb account it won't let me log in anymore

I can't figure out any of it!!!!! Have been on gardenweb since the mid 1990s, but not I am not sure that I can find anything......Not even sure how to put my name on here.

I haven't been on here much, only to check the seed exchange every now and then. I couldn't use my old screen name either... Been on garden since 2003, went through the change when it was taken over by Ivillage, now Houzz. Can't say I like the new format either.

At some point you realize that the only "constant" in life is "change"; you either evolve or become irrelevant. Besides, I wouldn't want to force anyone here to have to live without my opinions ;-D Oh, and I like being able to post pictures so easily - wish more people would do so (lotus 'Momo Botan').

This site is so much better. The old one was hard to use and only let me upload 1 pic per post. Hated it.

Yes, I too was resistant to the change, didn't like the font, but didn't miss the old purple and green vine thing and some other clunky things about GW. I'm used to this new format now and new GW folks HAVE listened to many complaints and fixed things. I had a Houzz account, so the merge was pretty easy for me. This site is so much easier to upload photos and links. I still haven't quite figured out how to upload more than one at a time, but at least there doesn't seem to be a limit to the number of posts.

You aren't alone in having Houzz tell you your account was already taken (by you), but many over in Home Decorating were able to have this fixed by the admin folks. You just need to ask for the admin help and try to get problems resolved.

I'm back I think. I was computerless for a little while and the new new computer would not recognize my user name or email addy so I had to make a new account again.

Yay! BTW, there is no 150-post limit like there used to be on GW. Not that we ever approach that here but some forums do. So post away on your photos!! Even one at a time you can go crazy.
