I have a few cuttings that I need to get going and would like a little advise to try a different method. I would l I keep to try the bag rooting method as I need to try and conserve space.

So I was thinking the following. I would use the miracle grow potting soil mixed at 50/50 with perlite...this has seemed to work good on my regular pots. I'll put about a cup or two of the mix into plastic bag with the cutting...I think I can't mess that up...so far.

my question comes in as do I need to add just a little water when putting them together or leave it alone. I have a heating mat and was planning on using that until our weather stabilized and got warm Enough to put them outside.

what temp a ture should I maintain the cuttings roughly at or is there a temperature I should not go over? Also when placing them on the mat should it be in direct contact or separated by something?
