Help my fiddle leaf fig!!!

My FLF isn't stright and leans to the left. I was given this yesterday so I just tied it upright for now. It's only one trunk and skinny. I would like multiple limbs if possible. Could I prune it to get new growth? And if so when or where should I cut it? It used to be outside but I'd like it in my house. Please give me your suggestions. Btw, this is my first FLF...
