TV show Perception set decor

If you haven't watched the show, it's a good one. But beyond the character and the plots, the sets are fabulous. The last one was filmed in a McMansion, a really nice one, but what was so notable was the color on the walls with the white trim. It was a lovely shade of pale yellow gold in the stairway area that morphed into a deeper shade of gold in the rooms downstairs. A great way of selecting colors that go, but don't match.

The prior week, much of the episode was filmed in a beautiful old stone mansion on the beach with leaded glass windows and a unique arch-topped paneled wall in the library with lovely rich reds, navy and golds in the furnishings. You can see a little bit of the paneling here.

According to the credits, the set designer is Wanda 'Beau' Peterson....don't see much about her, but I wish they would release more photos of the actual sets. They are really good.

I love, love, love his office on Perception! Instead of Modern Country it's style is like Modern Ivy League. Rich wood paneling, mid tone grey walls, black & white photo's, books, books, books!

I have been out of the country and have yet to watch this season's episodes, but I love the set design too. I especially loved the season where they opened in a the French apartment.

I have not seen this show but I am always looking at sets as well. Started watching season 3 of House of Cards this weekend. Did anyone notice that in the White House master bedroom the night stands are centered under windows, about 2 feet from the bed. Huh? And the switch that turned the lamps off was at the door across the room. Again, huh?

I'll have to check out Perception.....the set design sounds beautiful.

Hmmm, what network is Perception on? I watch very little television though I have been enthralled with Downton Abbey. Last night was the last episode of season 5.

I don't get TNT but season 3 started last week on Bravo. Apparently it's the last season.

Thanks Annie, I asked DH and he said we do get TNT. Amazon has it as an instant video for $1.99 an episode.

I used Grayson Manor from Revenge as part of my inspiration:

They did it again on Perception with part of it being filmed in the embassy of the diplomat from Bangladesh. Terrific toile drapes with fancy shaped pelmets...the rest of the room more subdued. Very nice.

I had never heard of this show (don't watch much network TV, but do like to binge watch on amazon and netflix). Unfortunately not on netflix and as Holly-Kay said earlier, not on amazon prime so must purchase on top. Would love to watch it; the premise sounds very much like a British series that I enjoyed called Wire in the Blood. Quite dark and a bit gruesome. Great acting though, especially the lead. Can't say there was any good set design, but a good series to try on netflix if you get it.
