Hi All,

I just got interested in Figs and am just starting out. This is more like the stage of gathering all the information available.

So far I bought a few plants - Brown Turkey, Petite Negra, Olympian and hardy Chicago. I do not know how many will survive since only the Brown Turkey plants are of reasonable size. All the others I bought in 4" pots.

I also have a few cuttings that I started a week ago. We will see what happens to those since this is my very first time trying to root from cuttings.

Hi and welcome.

I did a 3 inch cutting in august-September

This is 3 months old. Hardy Chicago figs grow like weeds

Thanks for the compliments. All my hardy chicago fig trees grow like that. This is about the same as the other 11 when they starting rooting. Just pointing out that they are easy to grow. Don't foliar feed Hardy chicago fig as the leaves do not hold up to moisture and turn crispy then drop. The hardy chicago has the best wet soil resistance. The petite and hardy chicago have the best shade tolerance. The Petite and brown turkey have the best by far humidity tolerance.
