We are looking at 2 carpets right now. Both are Anso Nylon from Shaw for our entire house, except kitchen, laundry, bathrooms, & entry way.

1) Constant Beauty III - weight: 48.8, twist 6.5, density 3029

2) Chance Encounters III - weight 53.6, twist 6.9, density 2244

We have stairs and I'm concerned about matting, so I'm leaning towards constant beauty III, but the chance Encounters is longer and looks fancier, but it is not as dense, yet has a high twist. WE also have older kids, and a big dog and a cat.

Anyone out there know the pros/cons of each? Any experience would be appreciated. Never carpeted before and don't want to do it for a long time again.
