Fiddle Leaf Fig Tree (indoor) help!

I bought a fiddle leaf fig tree from home depot just a month ago. It had
quite dusty leaves and many brown spots when i bought it. I have since
"pruned" said brown spotted leaves from the plant, wiped off dusty leaves with a soft damp cloth, and made sure not to over-water per everything I've read online to care for it. It's in partial light and indoors in our mild climate of San Diego, CA. It's still developing brown areas on the remaining leaves, which I fear if I prune each browned leaf entirely, it'll be practically bare, so I've trimmed off just the browned area off of a few (on the edges of leaves) in hopes to save said leaves. Was this a bad move? Seeking care tips (plant is returnable within a year if it dies, but I'd like to save it as I searched for days for this exact plant). All tips and tricks welcomed! Thanks :)
