I love my blue ceiling in my bathroom. Probably not the exact shade I'd use if I had to do it all over again but I'd still use blue.

I think you could definitely do it. Make sure that you do a sample first so you know the colors go well together and that the lighting works with the colors. I once had a beige room which was huge and not cozy (nine foot ceilings). I painted the ceilings a dark gray green and it was fabulous. I did have crown and my ceiling had a type of swirly texture. I always find doing something with the ceiling very interesting and unexpected. Make sure and keep us posted!

I was just playing on SW color visualizer and used your wall color with several blues. It looked great! You should go and play around with it. Maybe upload your photo.

Yes that is the ceiling that I painted black after the blue.

Does anyone remember the GW member who built her home and then used EK paint throughout? I ask because EK mixed a special color for her. Think it may have been the DR area and the walls were a rich camel color and the ceiling was done in a beautiful blue. One of those colors was the special mix. It was divine!

Hi foxes pad. Was it Demi? It seemed like the walls were cognac or something. And there was Amy, whose walls were Amy's Sarasota Sand. I don't remember the ceiling though.

I had BM grey wisp on my ceiling in previous bedroom and it looked great! (but they were smooth and we had crown) my ceiling in current bedroom is blue too, but it's the same color as the walls... i think a color on the ceiling is usually much nicer than plain white! :)

i have never had a textured ceiling tho--- I would make sure the paint was matte without any sheen to it.

I have a 20% Yarmouth Blue ceiling.

For those of you with colored ceilings, how do you handle different wall paints: Is the ceiling then different accordingly, too, or do you have the same color through all rooms?

Thanks everyone. At this point, I think my biggest concern is the textured ceiling. I could always add crown molding, but I don't want to redo the texture just so I can paint it blue :-)

I'd use a flat paint on the textured ceiling. Quite frankly, I don't see a reason why you can't have a colored textured ceiling. People paint those textured wallpaer ceilings in a color.

We have very pale yellow walls (Valspar's pina colade) and very pale blue ceilings (I forgot the name, but it's Valspar and then done with half the pigment to make it paler)

In our previous house, all the ceilings were a pale blue.
