Stove Under Windows?

Everyone is swaying me against this but really I don't know where else to put the stove! The window is high enough for the O'Keefe to fit under and the O'Keefe has a raised back. So from the counter top the window is about a foot higher so this leaves a big enough space for the stove but everyone is saying it's not "right" Why? Is this a bad idea???

I think most people are worried that you will have food splatters from cooking going onto your window, but it sounds like this won't be a problem for you since the back of you stove will catch any splatters.So from a practical point of view if you can still reach across to open or shut the window then you should be alright. If you post a photo maybe we could find another place for it.
