Not sure why other window colors were not available, but now that the windows are beige you could embrace the color as your new accent and paint the garage door beige and your front door. And the dark light fixtures could be replaced for a cleaner line style fixture too!

I agree, I agree! Please don't put shutters on this classic mid-century design. If you are looking to add some design element, you might consider adding some sort of architecturally interesting element. For instance, on my home, instead of hanging shutters, I found a matching pair of very old window grates and heat registers (at antique shop), had them welded together, painted black and hung on either side to anchor the larger box-bay window in the front, where shutters don't make sense because the window is too long and sticks out so shutters couldn't plausibly "work" (the rest of my home does have shutters, which is original with the design). I think a brighter door to bring it out of the shadows and new light fixtures would do a lot to add some punch, and make the windows look more in place. I would try one thing at a time, and leave any changes to the garage for last. I think a yellow green or a turquoise or aqua might look nice.

If you do go with shutters, pick obviously ornamental ones, such as 50s style with squares. I prefer dark garages that fade into the background, but some old garages were painted with patterns and color, so you could go that route too, if you want to go back to the 50s. I think your house is more 70s style and would look better without shutters and with a subdued garage.

I don't mind the hedge that much, but it is a little overgrown and could use some careful pruning. For a dramatic transformation, you could rip it out and even make a little patio and low stone fence/bench to define the space. Or add some flowerbeds and color in your ample front yard.

The fascia/gutters look worn and maybe a dash of color or to lighten it would open up the façade a bit too.
