Bougainvillea "Pink Pixie" Bonsai
Hi All,
I recently got a bougainvillea bonsai from my local
flower show in Philly last Saturday. It was gorgeously flowering. I
watered it when I brought it home, because it was like 17 degrees (I had
no choice but to walk to my car through the horrid weather). I let the
sucker drain out the bottom, I watered well. It has some kind of
plastic netting or something over the holes to prevent the bonsai mix
from coming out the bottom of the ceramic pot. I watered her
Friday, because she stopped blooming and there was some leaf drop. I
cut down her stem a bit because I read that is what you are supposed to
do after they are done blooming. Today I noticed there is some
yellowing, and some wilting. It isn't very happy. Her stem is bright
green. My room receives partial sun, so I moved her downstairs all day
today to sun (but kept her out of the direct light). I am wondering if
maybe I am doing way too much to this poor plant. I realize I most
likely watered it too much, but am I doing the right thing trying to
help it recover by not touching it and leaving it near the sun?
