Hello I'm a new homeowner and new to the forums. I'm not sure if I'm posting this in the right place as it's not so much of a gardening question but a question on how I can reclaim my yard from the ravages of pet ownership. Just as a little background we moved into our home in August of last year and had no idea our pets would do this much damage to our grass so quickly. Large patches of grass and very defined heavy traffic areas were worn into our yard, turning much of it into patches of dirt. When It rains our yard turns into a very unappealing mud pit. When the weather gets a little more consistent we want to plant new grass. We are both new to this so I'm looking for any advice that you guys could give as to what kind of grass would do well with dogs, and would grow well in the spring/summer. Also any quick fixes we could do right now to try and combat the muddiness. Thank you in advance for any advice you can give.
