I’m not sure of the parentage of this one but I suspect it
is produced from red-white and jewel, the same as the last big bright double. This one is very different – very pale on the
bottom half of the flower with sparse scribbled red markings and a delicate
picotee on the upper petals. The green throat has an intense dark red centre. This
is very tiny – only a couple of inches high - and only has two flowers, but they are quite pleasing
in appearance, so I’ll try and fatten it up a bit for next year.
