What to charge for tilling a garden spot

I had a guy ask me what I would charge him to till his garden spot. It would be about 1.5 city lots. It has been broke in the past, but not for the last 3 years. I would want to rip it up with my ripper (pull up any metal or roots), then till it.

I wouldn't consider doing it, but this guy works for a large roofing contractor in town and shops at our Farm Market. He has done some roofing work for us and did a great job. Kinda of like to keep him happy, in case we need him in the future.

In the past I have rented a tractor and tiller (trailer threw in to haul it) from the next town and it cost about $100 for the day. This person is just 6 miles away round trip. So, I was thinking about $45-50 an hour? It would take about 1-1.5 hours, guessing.

Any thoughts?

Jay
