My new construction house has a 14 foot tall living room with plenty of large windows. The style of the house is fairly contemporary, with a nod to some prairie design like stone on the fireplace, but no trim on the black framed windows. What is the current thinking in terms of painting the walls and ceiling? Same color, or different color for each? I don't want the room to look like a blob of one color, but don't need the ceiling to necessarily stand out either, it does that on its own with the height. The ceiling is lightly textured (mop sticking?) and the walls have a 2nd trowel finish, so very light texture. Any ideas are appreciated.
