Hard to tell from a photo on a monitor. Is there yellow/gold in it or not?

the rug appears to work with the colors of the room.

It's mostly blue, tan, brown and olive green... No exact match to wall color...

It's so small that any slight color different is insignificant. It looks fine.

I really like the combo of light blue, tans and creams and browns. From this pic the rug looks good. I have the same wall color and I like the rug - might look for something similar myself:)

Thanks Jhmarie! It's the PB Malika rug

I've looked it up and bookmarked the page! Its lovely:) I've got a whole main floor of hardwood and only one rug.

I think it looks great! Now you just have to match your upholstery to it…that is where I ran into issue in my family room. I had 3 large areas of color that ended up not blending well…kind of became jarring to the eye. Now I have to repaint to match my rug and couch. C'est la vie!

Thanks Beth! This is actually my dining room and thinking of just doing all brown wood table & chairs with tie on ivory seat cushions. Ivory sheers for the windows. Playing it safe :)!)))

Hey Melissa, how are things? How's the bank cat? ;) More importantly..... how is your ceiling? Hope things are going well. I'm definitely thinking this rug would be a keeper. :) Looks great with the wall color....a great addition to the room. :)

Zaz! So good to hear from you :)!!! Thank you! Glad you like the rug. Ok, so poor bank cat still looking the same because my contractor is waiting for the table to come in (should be next week) in order to stain the bench and put in the seat. My ceiling is a mess still. Now that all the snow and ice are off he says he will be here next week to get those gutters on and start the repair. Also waiting on the woven wood blinds as well in the kitchen until the ceiling gets all taken care of... Maybe by summer it will start to look the way I want it too:)!!!

Hi Melissa, don't worry it will come together and look great too! :) Look at it this way, now you can focus on other things like the dining room while the ceiling is being repaired. Guess what? I also had a leak. It was a roof vent... I'm not too amused either. It was in my dining room. :( I'm just hoping the repair is good, you never really know until it pours. Lol :) I'll be watching and waiting with you. :)

Wall color looks pretty neutral and if rug has similar colors, it should work. Doesn't have to match exactly.

That stinks Zaz. Yes, it's been quite a winter!! Will post some pics when things are completed. And let me know if u ever need opinions on your space! You've given me so much advice would love to return the favor.

And thanks Kristin! You're right. Does not have to match exactly and certain times of the day my walls look more tan then yellow so I think it's ok as long as it's in the same color family...

Melissa, Are you kidding? Most definitely I would love to have your opinion, if you have time to spare. :) I'll be on soon with my cheapy counter installed. Lol :) And I'd be very happy to have your opinion on backsplash picks. You must be aware that I really love your kitchen, right? I think I've said that enough. Lol :) It's perfect. ;) So, I most definitely will let you know as soon as I have everything ready. :)

Great! And thank u:)!! Post here to let me know when u have it up!!!

Okay, will do! Have a great night Melissa. Stay warm. I can't believe more snow...and rain. But I guess others have it much harder, so I won't complain. :) I'm still anxious for some warm sun though. :)

One more question, I promise :)! What do you all think about this new one I came across vs. the sample? It has the yellow and even some red I'd like to incorporate into the room....

I think I like the new one better. Not to disparage the sample - it's a bit small so it's harder to get a sense of what the whole thing will look like...

Hi Melissa, I definitely like the sample (I love the blue).... but I think the new rug gives you more options as far as adding other colors in the room that you can pull from the rug. :) Just depends what you want for the space, they both work well... to me. :) How's the snow by you? We went from sunny yesterday to snow today. :(

Thanks Zaz!! I Think I need to get the other one in the room and compare. No snow here in north NJ yet but yet my daughter has early dismissal from school :((

I agree, if you're unsure, getting them side by side is probably best. :) We all stayed home anyway. Shhh! Don't tell. Lol ;) I actually just checked my roof repair, so far, so good. Now lets see what the rain brings? I'll be watching out for the rug comparison. :)

I love both of them - but I think I prefer the new one with the red and yellow in it. It just seems kind of sweeter to me, if that makes any sense (!?)

I love the contrast, and the shades of blue! I think they both work well together. Best of luck!

I like both but I love those rusty red tones in the second one. It would be a great color to add in accents. I also Love your yellow walls. Yellow always looks so homey and warm.

Zaz, u out there?!? All advice appreciated as well!! Ok, so my new banquette table is making me rethink my window treatment choice which was these woven wood blinds ( sample below). Although the table goes well with island it gives a dark feel to the room. Now thinking of going with ribbon trim shades instead?? What do you think? A 3rd wood tone might be too much. I'm just not sure... Ugh! Thanks:)!!

    Sorry- here's the pics!

Ps - just ordered new brown x back chairs, white ones will be going!

Hi :) Melissa, I think if you're going dark on the chairs and bench....then the ribbon trim will definitely lighten it up. But in all honesty, if you are changing the chairs, wait until you have them to decide. That is what I would do. Seeing is believing. ;) I love your floor. :)

    Flipped it for ya....but now it's small. lol :) I tried. :(

Thanks Zaz! You're right I need to get the chairs in there... I think I'm just stressing because I'm a little upset about table, not really the look I was going for... But stuck with it now:). Think it will look better though with new chairs. These are the ones I ordered. My stools are the same brand and color so I think they should match table pretty well.

I also like both of the rugs, the newest one was my favorite. The design was more to my taste, but either one does match the wall color in my opinion!

Don't stress Melissa, I think once the chairs are in, it will be great. Plus, your pillows for color too. :)

Totally!!! And why do I always realize what I want after its in my space, lol:)!!

    Lol :) So true. :)

Zaz, I can't find it. Is it under design dilemmas??

Oh man Melissa, I'm sorry. I don't get notifications and didn't know you commented back. :( I saw that you did find me. Thanks. I didn't want to post a link for mine on your dilemma. I should have at least left the title, sorry again. And thanks a lot! :) Have an awesome night. :)
