Asko versus Siemens Ovens

We are renovating our kitchen and have narrowed down our oven choices (pyrolitic main oven plus combi-steam oven) to Asko and Siemens. I prefer the internal size/layout of the two Asko ovens but I can't find much in the way of reviews for Asko while Siemens seem to have good reviews . Has anyone had experience with Asko ovens? They are also more expensive than the Siemens but both have 5 year warranty.

Hi, what choice did you make in the end and why? We are at this same crossroad! Siemens or asko! Are you happy with your choice still? Would love to hear your feedback!

I missed the original question some how. Are you two based in Australia or EU?

Last year when I researched which oven to buy before ended up with a Miele combi, I had a good look at Asko series 7 as well as Siemens iQ700. Asko ovens are rebranded ovens from within Gorenje group. I am not sure which brand was the original for these ovens, but there are comparable ovens with ATAG brand. Definitely, for Asko cooktops, they are rebranded ATAG. I have wok burner and induction hobs form Asko and am happy with them.

When I looked for ovens, it was mainly for steam combi function. For current crop, both Asko series 7, Elements and Siemens iQ700 are very close: functionality, capacity in volume, temperature range etc. Interface-wise, they operate a little different, but also similar in a way. One thing I prefer about Asko is the water tray. I think it is easier to operate Asko water tray which is just at the corner of the over. Current crop BSH, Siemens, Bosch, Neff, water tray is hidden behind fascia. But their fascia is not fully automatic like Miele fascia where it open and close automatically all the way.

Functionality-wise, I think Siemens has a few extra edges. For combi-steam oven, Siemens oven grill function can be used with steam. For Asko, it is just a plain grill. Siemens oven also has a baking sensor, kinda like simpler version of V-Zug bakomatic. Also for Siemens oven, there is an option for a pyro oven with steam assist (pulse steam in Siemens' term) while for Asko, it is either self cleaning oven, or steam assisted oven. Also there is a combi microwave, pulse steam, self cleaning option from Siemens.
