Nothing to forgive....there are enough hybrids that everyone likely has a different favorite. I'm not over the moon over H. Tosca as others tend to be.

Thank you Kristi. I take all of the pictures in late afternoon in the shade when they are potted, if that helps. The ones in the ground, I try not to take in the sun.

And as for you Miss Donna...you just bite your tongue, missy! hehehe

My second scape has produced much nicer blooms.

My Daphne was the most impressive amaryllis bloom I have ever seen. One bloom measured at over 10 inches and such rich color.

I would say that Daphne is a little darker and more vibrant. And much bigger. I like Tosca very much but Daphne is simply impressive. You should give her a chance, Donna! This is something you have to see with your own eyes! She has both flowers open now and everybody who enters the room says: wow!
