Need help to design a south facing 3 season room

We just bought this older 2 story home and have been doing major renovations inside during the winter and now we are looking at the outside! Wanting to build a 3 season room which will be adjacent to a kitchen/informal eating area. I would like access to the garage door (right of the patio doors) and stairs heading south and more stairs to the west. The current deck (which is on its last legs) sits on concrete piles and size is approximately 12' X 20'

You might look around on houzz at some of the screen porches . . .or perhaps you are considering a conservatory / sunroom type addition. To get a permit, you will need a design professional to stamp your plans, you might as well start with an architect - for the money it costs, he or she will save you thousands and make the entire home more liveable. There are a myriad of considerations here and it is not a diy job. good luck -

Although it might be the most convenient place for a sunroom, are you sure that it would not overheat? We had one on the west side of a house and it got very unbearably hot in the afternoon. A lot of glass means a lot of solar gain.
