I am looking for some interesting perennial choices for the front of my fence. It is right next to a sidewalk so I want something rather small and behaved ( or trimmable). Dutch bulbs among others have boarder lilies which look cute, but I was wondering how others experience has been. Especially flowering time, hardiness and habit (flopping, etc).

Here is a picture taken from Dutch bulbs for "push off". This will be interspersed with other annuals/ perennials but kind of clumped for more impact of I purchase.
