Wolf gas/induction modules

We must make a commitment to appliances next week for our remodel.

We change our minds daily on the cook top which will be in the 70" wide island. At first, I selected a 36" Wolf induction but after purchasing a portable unit to test, my husband has declared he hates it. (I'm sure in time, he would get used to it, but he's still very resistant to the new technology). I've read every thread on the internet to him about the benefits of induction, but he still want to be able to see the flame and be able to turn a knob.

As a compromise, we're considering a Wolf 15" gas module and a 15" induction module with a Wolf downdraft vent.

In the past 30 years, we have never used all 4 burners at once. So 2 gas burners and 2 induction hobs should be adequate (plus we have the portable induction). I like the idea of having 20" on each side of the cook top rather than going for a 24" induction and a 15" gas module with only 12" on each side .

Will this configuration allow us to use several large pans at once? (our current cook top has 4 burners spread out over 36"). Seems like each module will accommodate only one 12" pot/pan at the rear?
